Julie Daniluk Consulting Inc.
Business Description
Julie has been a passionate voice for the organic sector for nearly two decades.
After graduating from the Canadian School of Natural Nutrition, Julie Daniluk became a member-owner of one of Canada's largest health food stores, The Big Carrot, located in Toronto.
Julie began educating eaters about the benefits of organics one by one as The Big Carrot’s in-store nutritionist. She teaches workshops on immunity and organic cooking for detoxification. She has been the Organic Committee Representative for the board of directors of the Canadian Health Food Association.
Her activism for pure food has led her to speak to Parliament on the potential health risks of genetically modified organisms. In order to bring food advocacy issues to a wider audience Julie was the Event Producer for the Bio-Diversity festival with David Suzuki. She co-created the world’s largest salad bar with more than 300 feet of donated organic vegetables.
Her search for nutritional understanding has taken her around the world and her greatest joy to date was cooking on the GREENPEACE tall sailing ship The Rainbow Warrior during its GE Free New Zealand Tour.
Her audiences grew rapidly as a much-requested speaker at health food and trade events across the country where, no matter the topic, the foundation of Julie’s message has been the connection between health and organic food.
Most recently, Julie has had the opportunity to reach countless eaters with her work as an expert nutritionist on The Healthy Gourmet, The Dr. OZ show, and the Marilyn Denis Show, as well as her newly published cookbook Meals that Heal. Julie’s enthusiasm, commitment and depth of knowledge in her field make her an invaluable ambassador for Organics.
