The session will be presented by Yannick Dheilly, a Canadian Trade Commissioner based in Paris, France, helping to outline the possibilities of increased trade to Europe for Canadian organic businesses.
A little about our presenter:
Yannick Dheilly trained as an agronomist and agri-food engineer, supplemented by a degree in business administration, and began his career as a sales manager at Cargill (ingredients division), in France and the Netherlands. He then joined the Trade Commissioner Service at the Canadian Embassy in Paris, where he first dealt with seafood. His responsibilities gradually extended to all sectors of agriculture, agri-food and seafood, and now includes trade inquiries, market studies, customs, taxation, VAT, labeling, sanitary and phytosanitary requirements, logistics, business practices and CETA. It supports French investments in Canada in the agri-food sector through active prospecting. It also monitors the evolution of European support for agriculture (Common Agricultural Policy) and French support systems, and participates in institutional relations between the French and Canadian ministries of agriculture.
