COTA's Board of Directors are elected democratically by COTA’s trade members at the Annual General Meeting. The individuals elected set COTA's strategic direction for the year, determine the priorities of the association, and undertake the association's financial oversight. Board of Director terms are three years in length, with a maximum of nine Directors per year. Directors' terms are staggered to ensure continuity for the board. The Governance Committee oversees the election process and aims to achieve broad representation of the entire organic sector, geographical locations, while taking into account gender and language. Members should feel free to contact the Board of Directors at president@canada-organic.ca
