Canadian Organic Market Reaches $9.75 Billion as COTA Prepares for 2025 Organic Summit

In 2024, Canadians spent $9.75 billion on organic products, with organic food and beverage sales alone reaching $7.77 billion—an 8.21% increase from the previous year. This remarkable growth underscores a deepening commitment to health, sustainability, and transparency, reflecting how organic continues to be a driving force in Canada’s evolving food system.
Against this backdrop of growth, the Canada Organic Trade Association (COTA) is gearing up to host its flagship hybrid event, the Organic Summit, alongside Parliament Day in Ottawa this November.
