On behalf of our membership, COTA promotes and protects organic production and trade through legislative and regulatory advocacy. We provide expert analysis of agriculture, food, health, and trade policy, while helping our members navigate the regulatory environment. COTA builds meaningful relationships with Parliamentarians and their staff, and works closely with Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada and the Canadian Food Inspection Agency.
In addition to receiving a dedicated regulatory newsletter published quarterly, COTA members will also receive timely updates by e-mail as needed. Become a member to make sure you stay in the loop!
COTA communicates with policy makers and elected officials on a wide range of issues affecting the organic sector. There are key issues that are our current priorities while engaging with government.
In order to mobilize our members towards acting upon critical issues facing our sector, COTA leads industry-wide task forces.
