Each year, members go the extra mile to support the Canada Organic Trade Association (COTA) to make the changes needed to strengthen organic. In 2023, help COTA build the future of organic through three key programs.
1. Defend Organic: Two key areas are threatening organic and COTA is doing the heavy lifting on the frontlines on your behalf for the whole organic value chain. All products of genetic engineering must retain mandatory government oversight. Pesticide Maximum Residue Levels (MRLs) must remain in check. Help us win these fights! Support Organic Change!
2. Canada Organic Action Plan: Working with our national organic partners, we are building a plan to ensure the long-term success of the organic sector. Help us build this foundation! Support Organic Change!
3. Organic Campus: This national student-led program builds trust in organic and impacts institutional procurement. Help us grow the future of organic. Support Organic Change!

There remains a lot of work ahead to sustain, protect, and grow the organic market share in Canada and Canadian organic internationally.
This work requires COTA’s coordination of many voices, and that effort can only be achieved through adequate funding. We rely heavily on contributions from organic champions like you to promote and protect the organic industry.
