COTA is thrilled to be partnering with the Trade Commissioner Service in South Korea who will deliver a webinar on Opportunities for Canadian Organic Products in South Korea.
As of October 31, 2023, Canada and South Korea entered into an arrangement recognizing the national organic systems as equivalent. Canadian processed organic products meeting the definition of "processed food" as defined in the Korean Food Code, contain at least 95 percent organic content, and have their final processing and handling in Canada can be sold in South Korea. See the CFIA website for detailed requirements of the arrangement.
The Canada-Korea Organic Equivalency Arrangement, presents new opportunities for Canadian organic processed foods in South Korea. Certified processed organic products in South Korea or in Canada may be sold as organic in either country. To capitalize on this opportunity, the Canadian Trade Commissioner Service (TCS) in South Korea would like to invite you to a webinar that will highlight opportunities in the Korean organic food market.
The webinar will provide an overview of the Canada-Korea Organic Equivalency Arrangement, and it will explore the Korean Organic Food Market, highlighting consumer trends. Please join this event to learn more about the Korean market.
